The Irish Film Festival in Spain calls Bilbao home, a city with character, creativity, and a serious love for a good story.
Basque and Irish cultures have a lot in common: we’re resilient, a bit stubborn, proud of our languages, and obsessed with storytelling. So bringing Irish cinema to Basque audiences just makes sense, it feels like a long-overdue meeting of kindred spirits.
This festival is about sharing films with curious, warm audiences, starting conversations, and celebrating cinema the way it should be: together, loudly, and with a lot of Craic!.
We welcome all films to apply and we have a focus on Indie Film, so don't be shy and get in touch :-)
Submission IFFS 2026
The Irish Film Festival in Spain returns to Bilbao and Pamplona from 4–6 June 2026.
Submissions are now open for features and shorts.
Submission deadline: 31 March 2026.
